
Senior Director of Development
Washington State University seeks an experienced and highly organized Senior Director of Development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fundraising and a commitment to our university's mission. This individual is a strategic and collaborative leader who is able to develop relationships with key stakeholders and build a successful fundraising program.The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising and/or development. They must have a strong understanding of fundraising techniques and methods, including individual giving, corporate and foundation giving, event planning, and planned giving. They must also be experienced in developing and managing budgets, creating and managing fundraising campaigns, and managing a staff. An advanced degree in a related field is preferred. We’re looking for an excellent communicator who can foster relationships and build a culture of philanthropy with alumni, employees, and other stakeholders. A candidate with a track record of successfully developing and executing fundraising strategies is preferred. The Senior Director of Development must also have strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
