  1. Dispensing Medications: The primary responsibility of the Pharmacist will be to accurately and safely dispense medications to students, faculty, and staff at Washington State University.
  2. Medication Management: The Pharmacist will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of all medications dispensed and ensuring proper storage and handling of medications.
  3. Patient Counseling: The Pharmacist will provide counseling to patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and any drug interactions to ensure safe and effective use of medications.
  4. Collaboration: The Pharmacist will work closely with other healthcare professionals at the university, including physicians, nurses, and counselors, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  5. Compliance: The Pharmacist will ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations regarding the dispensing and handling of medications.
  6. Quality Control: The Pharmacist will participate in quality control procedures to ensure the safety and effectiveness of medications provided to patients.
  7. Education and Training: The Pharmacist will be responsible for educating and training pharmacy students, interns, and other healthcare professionals on medication management and patient counseling.
  8. Inventory Management: The Pharmacist will be responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of medications and supplies and ordering new stock as needed.
  9. Patient Advocacy: The Pharmacist will serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care and medication therapy.
  10. Adherence to University Policies: The Pharmacist will adhere to all policies and procedures set by Washington State University, including those related to patient confidentiality and ethical conduct.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharm.d.) Degree From An Accredited Institution: This Is The Minimum Educational Requirement For A Pharmacist Job At Washington State University. A Pharm.d. Degree Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed A Rigorous Curriculum And Is Equipped With The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Practice Pharmacy.

  • Active Pharmacist License In The State Of Washington: To Practice As A Pharmacist In The State Of Washington, Candidates Must Hold A Valid Pharmacist License. This License Is Granted By The Washington State Board Of Pharmacy After The Candidate Meets All The Requirements, Including Passing The North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (Naplex) And The Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (Mpje).
