1. Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere to students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Washington State University.
2. Protect and serve the campus community by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
3. Maintain a visible presence on campus to deter crime and promote a sense of safety and security.
4. Respond to emergency situations, including but not limited to, medical emergencies, criminal incidents, and natural disasters.
5. Enforce all university policies and state laws in a fair and impartial manner.
6. Conduct thorough and accurate investigations into reported incidents and provide timely and detailed reports.
7. Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and university departments to ensure the safety and well-being of the campus community.
8. Build positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff through community policing initiatives and programs.
9. Serve as a resource for members of the campus community by providing education and guidance on safety and security measures.
10. Stay up-to-date on all relevant laws, regulations, and procedures related to campus law enforcement.
11. Attend and actively participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
12. Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in all interactions and represent Washington State University in a positive manner.
13. Work collaboratively with other campus police officers to ensure efficient and effective operations.
14. Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
15. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief of Police or supervisory personnel.
