
Associate Dean and Director, Office of Research
Washington State University is seeking a dynamic, experienced and visionary leader to serve as our Associate Dean and Director of the Office of Research. This individual will have the opportunity to lead a highly successful and diverse research enterprise responsible for promoting and supporting research and creative activities at the University. The successful candidate will be expected to provide strategic direction and oversight of the Office of Research and its activities, including research development and support, compliance, and research-related services.The successful candidate for this key position must have a passion for research and higher education, an understanding of the research enterprise and the research environment at the University, and the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and collaborate with faculty, staff, and students. The successful candidate must have a terminal degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of five years of successful experience in research administration and/or management. Demonstrated success in developing, implementing, and evaluating research initiatives is highly desirable. The successful candidate must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence.
