- Lead and oversee the creative design process for all products within VF Corporation's portfolio of global brands.
- Develop and drive the overall creative vision for the company's products, ensuring they align with the brand's aesthetic and market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to ensure designs meet business objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, consumer insights, and market competition to inform and influence design decisions.
- Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance and support to help them deliver high-quality and innovative designs.
- Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resources for design projects.
- Create and maintain design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all brands.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline the design process and increase efficiency.
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate execution of designs.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, representing VF Corporation's design philosophy and values both internally and externally.
Extensive Experience In Product Design: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In Product Design, Preferably Within The Fashion Or Retail Industry. They Should Have A Strong Portfolio Showcasing Their Design Skills And A Deep Understanding Of The Product Development Process.
Leadership And Team Management Skills: As A Senior Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Designers And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams. They Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate Their Team Towards The Common Goal Of Delivering High-Quality Products.
Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills And Be Able To Think Strategically To Identify Opportunities And Address Challenges In The Product Design Process. They Should Be Able To Anticipate Market Trends And Consumer Needs To Drive Innovation And Deliver Successful Products.
Technical Knowledge And Proficiency: The Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Technical Design And Product Development Processes, Including Pattern Making, Fabric Sourcing, And Manufacturing. They Should Also Have Proficiency In Cad Software And Other Design Tools.
