Threat Monitoring SOC Analyst

Verizon is looking for an experienced and motivated Threat Monitoring SOC Analyst to join our dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC) team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring security policies and protocols to protect our organization from cyber threats. To be successful in this role, you must have strong knowledge of cyber security technologies, a detail-oriented mindset, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:

1. Monitor security threats and respond to cyber security incidents in a timely manner.
2. Implement security protocols and policies to protect Verizon from cyber threats.
3. Develop and maintain up-to-date cyber security knowledge and best practices.
4. Analyze network traffic for suspicious activity and take appropriate action.
5. Identify and escalate potential security issues to the appropriate personnel.
6. Work with other SOC team members to ensure timely and accurate responses to security incidents.
7. Document security events and trends for reports and analysis.
8. Stay abreast of new cyber security threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.
9. Maintain effective communication with other IT teams during cyber security incidents.
10. Train and mentor junior SOC team members.
