Threat Monitoring SOC Analyst

Verizon is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Threat Monitoring SOC Analyst to join its growing Security Operations Center (SOC) team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing 24/7 monitoring and analysis of security threats, responding quickly to security incidents, and providing actionable intelligence to our organization. We are looking for someone who is passionate about security and has a track record of success in identifying and mitigating cyber threats.To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, as well as at least two years of experience in a security operations center or a similar IT security role. You should have a solid understanding of network security principles, as well as an in-depth knowledge of security protocols, tools, and technologies. You should also have a strong analytical and problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and analyze cyber threats to identify and mitigate potential security incidents in a timely manner.
2. Utilize security protocols, tools, and technologies to detect and respond to security threats.
3. Provide actionable intelligence to the organization to ensure optimal security solutions.
4. Utilize a strong analytical and problem-solving ability to quickly identify and address security vulnerabilities.
5. Work with the SOC team to develop action plans to respond to security incidents.
6. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that security policies and procedures are being followed.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security technologies and best practices.
8. Provide on-call support to the SOC team as needed.
9. Document security incidents and resolutions in the organization's security incident response system.
