Sr Manager - University Relations

Verizon is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of University Relations to join our team in the Corporate Strategy & Engagement organization. This highly visible role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive university relations strategy that advances the Verizon brand and supports our diversity, inclusion and talent initiatives. The Senior Manager of University Relations will be a key contributor to the team and will provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure that our university relations strategy aligns with Verizon’s overall goals. We are looking for an individual with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of developing and executing successful university relations programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the higher education landscape, a passion for building relationships with key stakeholders, and a deep knowledge of the recruiting and talent development process. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment and the ability to think strategically and creatively. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in related field• 8+ years of experience in university relations, recruiting, talent management, or related field• Proven success in establishing and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders within the higher education landscape• Demonstrated understanding of the recruiting and talent acquisition process• Strategic thinker with the ability to plan and develop comprehensive university relations programs• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
