  1. Perform splicing and installation of fiber optic cables in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on existing fiber optic network to ensure optimal network performance.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to fiber optic network, including identifying and repairing damaged cables.
  4. Work closely with engineering and construction teams to plan and execute new fiber optic network projects.
  5. Utilize specialized tools and equipment to perform splicing and installation tasks.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on fiber optic network.
  7. Maintain accurate records of splicing and installation work, including documenting any changes or modifications made.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements for more efficient splicing and installation processes.
  9. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and technological advancements related to fiber optic networks.
  10. Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Follow all company policies and procedures regarding network maintenance, safety, and quality standards.
  12. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
  13. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to fiber optic network technology.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  15. Act as a brand ambassador for Verizon, promoting our commitment to providing the best technology and service to our customers.

  • Knowledge Of Fiber Optic Technology: A Splicing Technician At Verizon Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Fiber Optic Technology, Including Different Types Of Fibers, Connectors, And Splicing Techniques.

  • Experience With Splicing Equipment: Candidates Should Have Hands-On Experience With Splicing Equipment Such As Fusion Splicers, Cleavers, And Otdrs. They Should Also Be Able To Troubleshoot And Maintain This Equipment.

  • Attention To Detail: The Role Of A Splicing Technician Requires Extreme Precision And Attention To Detail As Even A Small Error In Splicing Can Result In Network Failures. Candidates Must Be Able To Follow Technical Specifications And Execute Splicing Procedures Accurately.

  • Physical Fitness: The Job Of A Splicing Technician Is Physically Demanding, Involving Working In Confined Spaces, Climbing Poles, And Lifting Heavy Equipment. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Work In Various Weather Conditions.
