Senior Scrum Master

Verizon is looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master to join our growing team. We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual who is excited to lead our scrum teams and help drive our organization forward. The Senior Scrum Master will be responsible for leading and facilitating the Scrum framework for the software development teams. This role requires an individual with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively and collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Scrum Master roles and be well-versed in Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will also have a solid understanding of software development processes and a proven track record of successfully leading Scrum teams. Additionally, the Senior Scrum Master should have an advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and facilitate the Scrum process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
2. Actively participate in the development process as a Scrum Master, providing guidance and coaching to team members
3. Assist with the development of user stories and acceptance criteria
4. Ensure that sprints are completed on time and to the highest standards
5. Create and maintain a productive and collaborative environment for the Scrum teams
6. Support the Product Owner in managing backlogs, sprints, and releases
7. Facilitate communication between various stakeholders, including product owners, developers, and managers
8. Identify potential risks and developing mitigation strategies
9. Monitor sprint progress and adjust accordingly
10. Proactively identify and remove impediments to progress
11. Ensure that Scrum practices are followed throughout the development process
12. Act as a mentor for team members and provide guidance on Agile best practices
