Senior Internal Auditor

Verizon is seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our fast-paced and dynamic team. This position requires an individual who is highly motivated and organized, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy. The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of internal audit procedures and possess excellent problem-solving skills.The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for planning and executing internal audit activities, ensuring adequate coverage of all areas of the organization in accordance with organizational and professional standards. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, along with at least 5 years of relevant internal/external audit experience. A professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or CISA is highly desirable. Additionally, the candidate must possess strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and execute internal audit activities to ensure adequate coverage of all areas of the organization
2. Develop audit strategies and plans to identify areas of risk and improve internal controls
3. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
4. Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings and recommendations
5. Maintain thorough records of audit activities and results
6. Collaborate with other auditors and stakeholders to ensure audit objectives are achieved
7. Communicate audit results and recommendations to senior management
8. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior auditors
9. Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance
10. Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
