Principal Red Team Operator
We are looking for an exceptional Principal Red Team Operator to join Verizon’s team! This role requires a highly experienced security professional with a passion for uncovering vulnerabilities in systems and applications, and a dedication to protecting the privacy and security of Verizon’s products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security engineering, penetration testing, and red teaming. They must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. If you’re looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the security of our products and services, this is the role for you!Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field- A minimum of 5 years experience in system and application penetration testing and/or red teaming- Expert knowledge of offensive security techniques and tools- Broad understanding of Microsoft and Linux operating systems- In-depth knowledge of security protocols, technologies, and best practices- Expertise in web application and mobile application security testing- Ability to analyze and interpret system and application vulnerabilities- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct system and application penetration testing and red teaming to identify security vulnerabilities and weaknesses
- Analyze and interpret system and application vulnerabilities
- Develop and implement security protocols, technologies, and best practices
- Monitor networks and systems for potential threats and malicious activity
- Document findings and provide recommendations for remediation
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure security of products and services
- Stay up to date with the latest security trends and technologies
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
- Assist with security awareness and training initiatives
- Perform security audits and reviews to ensure compliance with security policies and standards
