- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber-optic network infrastructure in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to determine the best routes and locations for fiber-optic cables.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to perform underground and aerial cable placement.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including daily logs, time sheets, and inventory.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to provide updates on network status and resolve any service disruptions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Continuously stay updated on new technologies and industry trends to make recommendations for network improvements.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner while interacting with customers and stakeholders.
Strong Technical Knowledge: Candidates Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Outside Plant Infrastructure And Equipment, Including Fiber Optic Cables, Splice Closures, And Network Cabinets.
Experience In Telecommunications: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In The Telecommunications Industry, Preferably In An Outside Plant Technician Role.
Physical Fitness: This Job Requires Extensive Physical Activity, Including Climbing Ladders, Lifting Heavy Equipment, And Working In Various Weather Conditions. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Meet The Demands Of The Job.
