- Conduct proactive threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential security threats on Verizon's networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective security strategies and protocols.
- Utilize military training and experience to analyze and interpret threat intelligence data to identify emerging cyber threats.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and industry partners to share threat intelligence and collaborate on cybersecurity efforts.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve Verizon's network security.
- Participate in incident response activities and conduct forensic investigations to identify and remediate security incidents.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and raise awareness of potential threats.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic and security logs to identify and respond to potential security breaches.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to junior team members.
- Continuously assess and improve Verizon's security processes and procedures to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all security activities and incidents.
- Represent Verizon in meetings and conferences related to network security and cybersecurity.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and security protocols to protect sensitive information and maintain the integrity of Verizon's networks.
Active Or Prior Service In The United States Armed Forces, With At Least 4 Years Of Experience In A Cyber Security Role.
A Strong Understanding Of Network Security Principles, Including Threat Hunting Techniques And Tools Such As Siem, Ids/Ips, And Vulnerability Scanning.
Familiarity With Military Networks And The Unique Security Challenges They Present, Such As Secure Communications And Data Protection.
Possess At Least One Industry-Recognized Certification In Cyber Security, Such As Cissp, Ceh, Or Giac.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, As Well As The Ability To Adapt To A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
