Manager, External Communications and Media Relations

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute external communications and media relations strategies to support Verizon’s corporate objectives
2. Create compelling messaging for a variety of external stakeholders
3. Monitor and analyze the media landscape, and respond to news as needed
4. Develop relationships with key media outlets, industry influencers, and other external stakeholders
5. Manage and coordinate press releases and other media materials
6. Track and report on media coverage
7. Identify opportunities to increase media coverage and visibility
8. Work closely with teams across the organization to ensure alignment of external communications and media relations strategies
9. Support the preparation of executive speaking engagements and other external events
10. Stay up to date with the latest developments and trends in the telecommunications industry
