External Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager

- Manage external financial reporting process: The External Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the entire external financial reporting process for the company. This includes preparing financial statements, footnotes, and other required disclosures in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness: The Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all external financial reports. This includes reviewing financial information, performing necessary reconciliations and analyses, and working closely with internal teams to gather relevant data and information.
- Provide technical accounting guidance: The Manager will serve as a subject matter expert on technical accounting matters and provide guidance to the organization on complex accounting issues. This includes interpreting and implementing new accounting standards and regulations, as well as providing recommendations for any necessary changes to processes or procedures.
- Ensure compliance: The Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations. This includes staying up-to-date on any changes in accounting standards and proactively implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance.

Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: A Strong Educational Background In Accounting Or Finance Is Essential For An External Reporting And Technical Accounting Manager, As The Role Involves Complex Financial Reporting And Technical Analysis.
Cpa Certification: Most Companies, Including Verizon, Require A Cpa Certification For This Role. This Demonstrates A High Level Of Technical Accounting Knowledge And Expertise.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In External Reporting And Technical Accounting: This Role Typically Requires At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Large Publicly Traded Company. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Solid Understanding Of Financial Reporting Requirements And Technical Accounting Principles.
