Data Engineer

Verizon is looking for a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team and help strengthen our data capabilities. We are looking for someone who will bring a creative and analytical approach to data collection and processing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and a solid understanding of data engineering and data architecture.The Data Engineer will be responsible for building databases, designing data models, and developing ETL processes to facilitate the flow of data. This individual should also be able to create data pipelines, maintain databases, and analyze and report on data.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field• At least 5 years of experience in a data engineering role• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and distributed data systems• Experience with ETL or ELT processes• Knowledge of data lakes, data warehouse, and data visualization• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
