Cyber Defense Program Lead

Verizon is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity professional to join our team as a Cyber Defense Program Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the company’s cyber defense strategy and operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about cybersecurity and has the technical acumen and leadership skills to help shape the future of our security operations.Ideally, you have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, including at least 5 years in a security leadership or management position. You have a deep understanding of the threat landscape and the strategies and tactics used to defend against cyber-attacks. You have a strong technical background in technologies such as network security, endpoint security, and cloud security. You have a proven track record of developing and executing successful security programs.You also have excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. You have a strong customer service focus and the ability to develop relationships with all stakeholders including the business and technical teams, customers, and vendors. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber defense strategy, including the use of appropriate technologies and processes.
2. Monitor and respond to cyber threats in a timely manner.
3. Create and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards.
4. Manage security operations, including incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
5. Coordinate with technical teams, customers, and vendors to ensure their security needs are met.
6. Stay up to date on the latest technologies, trends, and threats in the cybersecurity space.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure cyber defense initiatives are aligned with organizational objectives.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, including the business and technical teams, customers, and vendors.
9. Provide leadership and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
10. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of cyber defense programs.
