We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Associate Director of Government Sales at Verizon. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth within our government sector.   1. Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth within the government sector, in alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
  2. Act as a subject matter expert on the telecommunications industry, staying up-to-date on industry trends and advancements to provide innovative solutions to clients.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the government sector, including government agencies, contractors, and other decision makers.
  4. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and objectives and providing tailored solutions to meet their specific requirements.
  5. Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure individual and team success.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
  7. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  8. Represent Verizon at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote our services and build brand recognition within the government sector.
  9. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of government regulations, policies, and procedures related to sales and contracts.
  10. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on sales activities, challenges, and opportunities.

Job Qualifications
  • Degree In Business Administration, Marketing, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Experience In Government Sales, Preferably In The Telecommunications Industry.

  • Proven Track Record Of Meeting And Exceeding Sales Targets, With A Strong Understanding Of The Government Procurement Process.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Government Agencies And Key Decision Makers.

  • Experience Managing A Team Of Sales Professionals And Developing Strategic Sales Plans.
