Job Description

If you are a highly motivated and experienced Senior Medical Physicist with a proven track record in clinical technology adoption, then we want you for our Senior Medical Physicist, Clinical Technology Adoption position at Varian Medical Systems! Our ideal candidate will combine a passion for medical physics and technology adoption with strong communication and leadership skills. You will be responsible for the clinical technology adoption process and driving clinical adoption of new innovative technology.To be successful in this role, you must have a PhD in Medical Physics or related field, a minimum of five years of experience in a clinical setting, and a comprehensive understanding of radiation oncology clinical technology. You must also have a strong working knowledge of radiation oncology clinical technologies, including image-guided radiotherapy, and a deep understanding of the clinical workflows associated with these technologies. Additionally, you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.If you have an expansive knowledge of medical physics, experience driving clinical adoption of innovative technology, and possess the ability to work collaboratively within a team, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the clinical technology adoption process and drive clinical adoption of new innovative technologies.
  2. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and safety requirements.
  3. Develop and maintain efficient workflows for the clinical adoption of new technologies.
  4. Provide technical guidance and expertise on the use of new technologies to clinical staff.
  5. Collaborate with medical physicists, radiation oncologists, and other clinical staff to ensure the safe and effective use of new technologies.
  6. Develop and implement educational and training programs on the use of new technologies.
  7. Analyze data and develop reports on the effectiveness and efficiency of the clinical adoption process.
  8. Monitor and evaluate the performance of new technologies.
  9. Maintain accurate records of patient data associated with the use of new technologies.
  10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and develop relationships with key external partners.
