Valero Energy is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Staff Refinery Inspector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety practices and be able to assess and evaluate refinery processes and operational conditions. The Staff Refinery Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and verifying compliance with safety standards and procedures, and will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operating excellence.The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: a high school diploma or GED; a minimum of four years' experience in a refinery or related industrial environment; knowledge of safety regulations and standards; strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities of a Staff Refinery Inspector:

Monitor and verify compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Assess and evaluate refinery processes and operational conditions.
Develop and implement safety measures to ensure refinery operations adhere to safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and safety audits.
Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.
Train operators and other personnel on the importance of safety.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operating excellence.
Investigate and document safety incidents.
Participate in safety committees and meetings.
Understand and adhere to all applicable safety regulations and industry standards.
Identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
