Job Description

Valero Energy is looking for a motivated, innovative Senior Process Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, operation, and optimization of process engineering systems and processes. You will be expected to lead initiatives to ensure the highest level of safety, reliability, and efficiency of the systems.The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering, and have at least 5 years of process engineering experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry. You should have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to effectively communicate with colleagues from other departments. Responsibilities:

Oversee the design, operation, and optimization of process engineering systems and processes.
Lead initiatives to ensure the highest level of safety, reliability, and efficiency of the systems.
Utilize problem-solving skills to identify and address process engineering issues.
Maintain a deep understanding of process engineering principles and have a proven track record of improving process performance.
Effectively communicate with colleagues from other departments.
Develop and implement innovative solutions to maximize process performance.
Monitor and audit process engineering systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
Provide technical support to other departments and personnel.
Develop and evaluate process engineering documents to ensure accuracy and quality.
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
