Valero Energy is looking for an experienced and motivated SAP Software Engineer in Finance & Accounting to join our team. As a key member of the SAP Finance & Accounting team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying solutions that meet the business and technical requirements of our stakeholders. You will be a critical thinker with a passion for problem-solving and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies and processes.The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, as well as 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying SAP solutions in an enterprise environment. You should be knowledgeable in accounting and finance principles and processes, as well as familiar with the SAP modules related to finance & accounting. Additionally, you should be organized and detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.If you have a passion for cutting-edge technology and are excited to work with the latest SAP software, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Develop and deploy SAP solutions that meet the business and technical requirements of stakeholders
Maintain and update the system to ensure optimal performance
Research and analyze current systems and processes to identify areas of improvement
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all requirements are met
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues
Develop training materials to ensure effective use of the system
Stay up to date on new technology and processes related to SAP software
Assist in creating and implementing policies and procedures for the SAP system
Provide technical support to end users of the system
Prepare and present reports to management on system performance
