We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Craftperson A for our Rotating Equipment team. As a Craftperson A, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rotating equipment, which is essential to our daily operations. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on rotating equipment, including pumps, motors, and turbines.
Conduct inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues to identify and resolve any potential problems.
Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Collaborate with other team members to efficiently complete maintenance tasks and minimize equipment downtime.
Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair activities.
Utilize technical knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Communicate any potential safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in rotating equipment technology.
Work independently and as part of a team to meet maintenance schedules and deadlines.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Adhere to all quality standards and ensure equipment meets regulatory requirements.
Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and protocols.
Provide support and guidance to junior team members as needed.
Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications

Mechanical Skills: A Successful Craftperson A At Valero Energy Must Possess Strong Mechanical Skills, Including The Ability To Troubleshoot And Repair Rotating Equipment Such As Pumps, Compressors, And Turbines.
Experience With Rotating Equipment: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working With Rotating Equipment In An Industrial Setting. This Includes The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Diagrams.
Safety Consciousness: Valero Energy Places A High Priority On Safety, And All Employees Must Demonstrate A Strong Commitment To Safe Work Practices. Craftperson A Candidates Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Safety Procedures And A Track Record Of Working Safely In A Refinery Or Similar Environment.
Attention To Detail: A Craftperson A Must Be Able To Pay Close Attention To Detail In Order To Diagnose And Repair Complex Rotating Equipment. This Includes The Ability To Identify And Resolve Issues Quickly And Accurately.
Teamwork And Communication: This Role Requires The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Team Members And Communicate Effectively With Supervisors And Other Departments. Strong Interpersonal Skills And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment Are Essential For Success In This Position.
