Job Description

Valero Energy is looking for an experienced and motivated Associate Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining our electrical systems and equipment. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is creative, detail-oriented, and has a passion for problem solving and electrical engineering.To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, at least one year of experience in a related field, and be knowledgeable in electrical design principles. We are looking for someone who can think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. The ideal candidate should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities:

Design, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment according to established criteria.
Utilize electrical design principles to develop innovative solutions for complex problems.
Work independently and as part of a team to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
Prioritize tasks and multitask to ensure deadlines are met.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all electrical system designs.
Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment as needed.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Monitor the performance of electrical systems and equipment and make any necessary adjustments.
Attend industry events and conferences to stay up to date on current trends and technologies.
