Surgical Clinical Office Assistant - Urology

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual to join our Urology team at the UVM Medical Center as a Surgical Clinical Office Assistant. In this role, you will provide support to our team of Urologists, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as they care for our patients. As a key member of the Urology team, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients.The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others. We are seeking a candidate with experience in a medical office setting, who is familiar with medical terminology and electronic medical records. In addition, the successful candidate will possess a positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide administrative and clinical support to the Urology team.
2. Greet patients and perform check-in duties.
3. Collect patient information and enter it into the electronic medical record system.
4. Prepare and maintain patient files.
5. Assist with scheduling patient appointments.
6. Provide customer service to patients and staff.
7. Respond to patient inquiries and concerns.
8. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
10. Work collaboratively with team members to coordinate patient care.
