
Staff Psychologist - Child Psychiatry

As a qualified candidate, you will possess a doctorate in psychology, a license to practice in the state of Vermont, and experience working with children and families.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations of children and their families to determine appropriate treatment plans and interventions.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for children with a variety of mental health issues.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients and their families.
- Provide individual and group therapy to children and families, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques.
- Monitor and track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate and support families in understanding their child's mental health needs and how to best support their child's well-being.
- Stay current on the latest research and developments in the field of child psychiatry and incorporate this knowledge into clinical practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and progress.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Serve as a resource for other healthcare professionals and community organizations on issues related to child and adolescent mental health.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients and families.
- Maintain a license to practice psychology in the state of Vermont and adhere to all licensure requirements.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Contribute to the overall success of the child psychiatry program at UVM Medical Center through active participation in program development and evaluation.
Doctoral Degree (Ph.d. Or Psy.d.) In Clinical Psychology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Licensed As A Psychologist In The State Of Vermont, Or Eligible For Licensure.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Providing Clinical Services In Child Psychiatry And/Or Pediatric Psychology.
Demonstrated Expertise In Evidence-Based Assessment And Treatment Approaches For Children And Adolescents, Including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, And Family Therapy.
Experience And Comfort Working Within A Multidisciplinary Team, Collaborating With Other Mental Health Professionals, Physicians, And Educators To Provide Comprehensive Care For Patients.
