  1. Conduct thorough evaluations to assess speech and language disorders in patients of all ages.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient needs.
  3. Implement evidence-based treatment techniques and strategies to address speech and language disorders.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed.
  5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  6. Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders, treatment plans, and home exercises.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  8. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of patient care.
  9. Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of speech-language pathology.
  10. Attend team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
  11. Ensure patient safety and follow infection control protocols.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  13. Maintain a positive and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
  14. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
  15. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
  16. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  17. Handle any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: The Candidate Should Possess A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited University.

  • Asha Certification: The Candidate Should Be Certified By The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha) And Hold A Certificate Of Clinical Competence In Speech-Language Pathology (Ccc-Slp).

  • State Licensure: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid License To Practice Speech-Language Pathology In The State Of Vermont.

  • Clinical Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Center.

  • Specialization In Adult Or Pediatric Speech Therapy: The Candidate Should Have Expertise In Providing Speech Therapy Services To Either Adults Or Children, Depending On The Specific Needs Of The Department At Uvm Medical Center.
