Job Description

The UVM Medical Center is looking for an enthusiastic Sleep Tech Trainee to join our Sleep Services team! This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to learn and develop their skills in the field and be part of a team dedicated to providing world-class healthcare.As a Sleep Tech Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of care, and helping to ensure the highest quality of patient care. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care. This position requires a high level of responsibility and the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.The following qualifications are required:• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in sleep services • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment • A basic understanding of medical terminology • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Knowledge of sleep diagnostic technology and procedures • Commitment to providing patient-centered care • Ability to work with a wide variety of people • Current CPR certification • Completion of a Sleep Technology Program or equivalentIf this opportunity sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the provision of care to patients in the Sleep Services Department.
  2. Ensure the highest quality of patient care is provided.
  3. Maintain a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
  4. Work independently and in a team setting.
  5. Have a basic understanding of medical terminology.
  6. Have knowledge of sleep diagnostic technology and procedures.
  7. Provide patient-centered care.
  8. Work with a wide variety of people.
  9. Maintain current CPR certification.
  10. Complete a Sleep Technology Program or equivalent.
