Rehab Therapy Aide

UVM Medical Center is looking for an enthusiastic Rehab Therapy Aide to join our dynamic team! As a Rehab Therapy Aide, you will be an integral part of providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to our patients. The following qualifications are required for this position: •High School Diploma or equivalent•Previous experience in patient care or customer service•Ability to complete basic computer tasks•Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as needed•Knowledge of medical terminology and standards of care•Ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers•Ability to work both independently and as part of a team•Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Responsibilities:

• Assist in providing rehabilitative services to patients, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

• Assist with patient care and support, including lifting, transferring, and moving patients as needed.

• Maintain a positive customer service attitude and provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and coworkers.

• Follow safety regulations and infection control procedures, and adhere to medical terminology and standards of care.

• Utilize basic computer tasks to enter patient information, track treatment progress, and other administrative duties.

• Maintain a flexible work schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other members of the rehabilitation team.
