  1. Provide exceptional healthcare to patients during their radiology procedures.
  2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  3. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician.
  4. Educate patients and their families on procedures, medications, and any necessary follow-up care.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality, coordinated care for patients.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  8. Continuously assess and evaluate patient responses to treatments and adjust care plans as needed.
  9. Stay updated on current healthcare practices and procedures related to radiology.

  11. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities.
  12. Adhere to the hospital's policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Is Required For A Registered Nurse - Radiology Position At Uvm Medical Center. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Solid Foundation In Nursing Theory And Practice, And Is Prepared To Provide High-Quality Patient Care.

  • Rn Licensure In The State Of Vermont: All Candidates Must Possess A Valid Registered Nurse License In The State Of Vermont. This Is A Non-Negotiable Requirement To Ensure That The Candidate Is Qualified To Practice Nursing In The State And Is Familiar With The Laws And Regulations Governing The Profession.

  • Certification In Radiology Nursing: Uvm Medical Center Prefers Candidates Who Hold Certification In Radiology Nursing From The Radiology Nursing Certification Board (Rncb). This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate's Specialized Knowledge And Skills In Radiology Nursing, Which Is Essential For This Role.

  • Prior Experience In A Radiology Setting: Uvm Medical Center Prefers Candidates With Prior Experience In A Radiology Setting. This Could Include Experience In A Diagnostic Imaging Department, Interventional Radiology, Or Radiation Oncology. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Understanding Of Radiology Procedures And Equipment, Which Is Crucial For This Role.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Registered Nurse - Radiology, Effective Communication And Critical Thinking Skills Are Essential.
