
Radiology Medical Assistant
At the University of Vermont Medical Center, we are looking for an exceptional Radiology Medical Assistant to join our team. This position requires a professional and courteous demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Required Qualifications:• High School Diploma or equivalent• Valid certification as a Radiology Medical Assistant• At least one year of experience in a Radiology Medical Assistant role or similar position• Basic knowledge of medical terminology• Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of healthcare professionals• Proficiency in computer systems and software• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills• Strong attention to detail
Responsibilities of the Radiology Medical Assistant:
- Provide exceptional patient care in accordance with the University of Vermont Medical Center’s standards.
- Demonstrate a professional and courteous demeanor to patients and visitors.
- Assist the Radiology department team with medical procedures, patient preparation, and patient management.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all medical paperwork is up to date.
- Administer patient medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for testing.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure that all safety and quality guidelines are followed.
- Remain current with developments in radiology and medical technology.
