  1. Ensure the safety and security of all patients, staff, and facilities at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
  2. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security threats or breaches.
  3. Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies and take appropriate action.
  4. Monitor and control access to restricted areas, enforcing hospital policies and procedures.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all security incidents and report them to the appropriate authorities.
  6. Collaborate with other security personnel and hospital staff to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  7. Educate staff and patients on security procedures and protocols to ensure compliance.
  8. Conduct regular training sessions for staff on emergency response and security protocols.
  9. Monitor and respond to alarms and other security systems as needed.
  10. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
  11. Follow all hospital and departmental policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  12. Continuously evaluate security measures and make recommendations for improvements.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  14. Act as a liaison between the hospital and law enforcement agencies when necessary.
  15. Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  16. Uphold the standards of excellence and professionalism expected at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
  17. Maintain a strong sense of integrity and ethical conduct in all aspects of the job.
  18. Work collaboratively with other team members to promote a positive and productive work environment.
  19. Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Security Manager or hospital administration.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Security Or Law Enforcement.

  • Ability To Pass A Background Check And Obtain Necessary Security Certifications.

  • Knowledge Of Security Procedures And Emergency Response Protocols.
