
Physical Therapist per diem

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and provide individualized treatment plans to help them achieve their optimal physical function. - Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and create individualized treatment plans.
- Administer a variety of physical therapy techniques and exercises to patients to improve their strength, mobility, and overall physical function.
- Monitor and track patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques they can incorporate into their daily routines to continue their progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of treatment.
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all clinical and ethical guidelines and standards set forth by the medical center and relevant governing bodies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on current trends and advancements in the field of physical therapy.
- Uphold the mission and values of the University of Vermont Medical Center by providing exceptional and compassionate care to patients.
Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy From An Accredited Program Is Required For A Per Diem Physical Therapist Position At Uvm Medical Center.
Current State Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Current And Valid License To Practice Physical Therapy In The State Of Vermont. This Is A Mandatory Requirement For All Per Diem Positions At Uvm Medical Center.
Cpr Certification: All Applicants Must Hold A Current Cpr Certification In Order To Be Considered For A Per Diem Physical Therapist Job At Uvm Medical Center. This Certification Needs To Be Maintained Throughout The Duration Of Employment.
Prior Experience: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In An Acute Care Hospital, Is Highly Preferred For A Per Diem Physical Therapist Position At Uvm Medical Center. This Experience Should Include Evaluating And Treating Patients With A Wide Range Of Conditions.
Flexibility And Availability: As A Per Diem Position, The Candidate Must Be Willing To Work Flexible Hours, Including Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays, Based On The Needs Of The Department. Availability To Work On Short Notice Is Also Required For This Type Of Position.
