
Pharmacist Outpatient
As a Pharmacist Outpatient at UVM Medical Center, you will be responsible for helping our patients receive the most effective medications and health care services. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and committed to helping us maintain the highest standards of excellence.You should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college or university, a current pharmacy license to practice in the state of Vermont, and two years of experience as a pharmacist in an outpatient setting. Knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and standards of practice are also required. You should be able to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel. Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel to provide exceptional patient care.
- Ensure that patients receive the most effective medications and health care services.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and standards of practice.
- Monitor patient medication therapy and evaluate patients’ medication needs.
- Interpret and dispense prescriptions in accordance with pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
- Provide clear and accurate drug information to patients and medical professionals.
- Maintain patient records and document patient interactions.
- Provide customer service-oriented care in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and order medication as needed.
