
Patient & Family Ambassador per diem

- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during their time at the facility.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and medical staff.
- Establish a welcoming and comforting environment for patients and their families.
- Listen actively and respond empathetically to patients' and families' needs and concerns.
- Offer guidance and resources to patients and families to help them navigate the healthcare system.
- Provide information about hospital policies, services, and resources to patients and families.
- Assist with communication and coordination between medical staff and patients/families.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patients' and families' needs are met.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Serve as a point of contact for patient and family feedback, concerns, and complaints.
- Help improve patient experience by identifying areas of improvement and providing suggestions.
- Stay updated on current healthcare practices and policies to better assist patients and families.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Excellent Communication Skills: In This Role, The Patient & Family Ambassador Will Be Interacting With Patients And Their Families On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential To Effectively Convey Information And Provide Support.
Empathy And Compassion: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Sense Of Empathy And Compassion Towards Patients And Their Families. This Will Help Them Understand And Address Any Concerns Or Issues That May Arise During Interactions.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Crucial For This Role. This Will Enable The Patient & Family Ambassador To Effectively Communicate With Healthcare Professionals And Understand Medical Information That May Be Provided By The Hospital.
Strong Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Build Relationships And Work Collaboratively With Patients, Their Families, And Healthcare Teams Is A Key Requirement For This Role. The Patient & Family Ambassador Must Be Able To Establish Trust And Rapport With Diverse Individuals And Work Well In A Team-Oriented Environment.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Clinic, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. It Demonstrates A Familiarity With The Healthcare Industry And An Understanding Of Patient Care, Which Will Be Beneficial In Performing The Duties Of A Patient & Family Ambassador.
