- Perform nuclear medicine procedures and tests in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Operate imaging equipment and ensure proper functioning and calibration.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Position patients and provide clear instructions for optimal image acquisition.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques and procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of radiopharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols.
- Participate in quality control and assurance activities.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in nuclear medicine technology and techniques.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient care.
- Participate in departmental and interdepartmental meetings and committees.
- Mentor and train new technologists.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Certification From The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Nuclear Medicine Equipment And Performing Diagnostic Procedures, Such As Pet/Ct Scans And Spect Scans.
Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Procedures, Including Proper Handling And Disposal Of Radioactive Materials.
