- Develop and implement strategic plans for clinical pharmacy programs across the organization's network of hospitals and facilities.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare leaders to identify and implement innovative clinical pharmacy practices to improve patient outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor a team of pharmacists and technicians to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Monitor and analyze pharmacy data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
- Develop and manage the department's budget, including forecasting and cost-saving initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy department and other departments within the organization.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in clinical pharmacy to continuously improve and enhance programs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical companies to ensure access to necessary medications and supplies.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as insurance companies and pharmacy benefit managers, to optimize patient care and financial outcomes.
- Ensure all staff members are properly trained and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Represent the organization at conferences, meetings, and other industry events to promote the clinical pharmacy program.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages growth and development for all team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to pharmacy staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports related to pharmacy operations and patient care.
Advanced Degree In Pharmacy: The Network Director Of Clinical Pharmacy Must Have An Advanced Degree In Pharmacy, Such As A Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Or A Master Of Science In Pharmacy (Msp). This Is Essential To Ensure A Strong Foundation In Pharmaceutical Knowledge And Principles.
Clinical Pharmacy Experience: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Pharmacy Setting. This Experience Should Include Direct Patient Care, Medication Therapy Management, And Clinical Leadership Roles.
