We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our Inpatient Psychiatry team. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with mental health disorders and providing support for their treatment and recovery.   1. Provide compassionate care and support to patients with mental health disorders.
  2. Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, and mobility.
  3. Monitor and document patient behaviors and progress in treatment.
  4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
  7. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients.
  8. Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors.
  9. Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
  10. Assist with group therapy sessions and other therapeutic activities.
  11. Continuously educate oneself on new developments and best practices in the field of mental health.
  12. Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  14. Participate in team meetings and actively contribute to the treatment planning process.
  15. Adhere to ethical standards and professional boundaries in all interactions with patients.
  16. Serve as a role model and advocate for patients with mental health disorders.
  17. Provide support and guidance to patients' families, as needed.
  18. Collaborate with community resources to ensure continuity of care for patients upon discharge.
  19. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  20. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.

  • Certification As A Mental Health Technician Or Equivalent Training And Experience.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Psychiatric Inpatient Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Disorders And Treatment Methods.
