Job Description

Are you an experienced Medical Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? The University of Vermont Medical Center is looking for a Medical Assistant Lead to join our team and provide leadership to our Medical Assistants. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and experience working in a leadership role. The Medical Assistant Lead will be responsible for ensuring that our Medical Assistants are providing the highest quality care to our patients and for providing guidance and support to the team. We are looking for someone with excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and effectively. Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure Medical Assistants are providing optimal care to patients.
  2. Provide leadership and guidance to Medical Assistants.
  3. Monitor patient care to ensure quality service is being provided.
  4. Communicate effectively and efficiently with Medical Assistants and other staff.
  5. Assist with problem-solving and troubleshooting when needed.
  6. Develop and maintain positive relationships with Medical Assistants and other staff.
  7. Train and mentor Medical Assistants in their roles.
  8. Ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
  9. Assist with scheduling and other administrative duties.
  10. Monitor supplies and equipment for Medical Assistants.
