  1. Provide exceptional care and support to patients and their families during their stay at the respite house.
  2. Perform essential nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  3. Monitor and report changes in patients' condition to the nursing team.
  4. Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  5. Administer medications as directed by the nursing team.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  8. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
  9. Adhere to all hospital and unit policies and procedures.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
  11. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to patient care.
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation.
  14. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  15. Assist with end-of-life care and support for patients and their families.
  16. Attend required trainings and meetings to maintain licensure and competency.
  17. Show compassion, empathy, and understanding towards patients and their families.
  18. Uphold the values and mission of the organization.
  19. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  20. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervising nurse or manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Lna: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Lna At Mcclure Miller Respite House Is To Be A Certified Lna. This Requires Completion Of A State-Approved Training Program And Passing A Competency Exam.

  • Experience In Hospice Or Palliative Care: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have Prior Experience In Hospice Or Palliative Care. This Will Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of End-Of-Life Care And The Unique Needs Of Patients And Their Families.

  • Compassionate And Empathetic: It Is Essential For A Lna At Mcclure Miller Respite House To Be Compassionate And Empathetic Towards Patients And Their Families. This Role Requires Providing Emotional Support And Comfort To Patients During Their Final Days, And A Caring And Empathetic Attitude Is Crucial For This.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Vital For A Lna In This Role. They Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Their Families, And A Multidisciplinary Team Of Healthcare Professionals. Clear And Effective Communication Is Essential For Providing The Best Care Possible.

  • Ability To Work In A Team: At Mcclure Miller Respite House, Lnas Work As Part Of A Team To Provide Comprehensive Care To Patients. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals And Contribute To A Positive Team Dynamic.
