
Group Therapist - Inpatient Psychiatry
The UVM Medical Center is looking for an experienced and compassionate Group Therapist to join our Inpatient Psychiatry team. This is a unique opportunity to provide evidence-based group therapy interventions to our diverse patient population while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. We are looking for a candidate who has an advanced degree in counseling or social work and is licensed in the state of Vermont, as well as someone who is passionate about helping individuals and families affected by mental health issues. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive, compassionate care that helps our patients reach their therapeutic goals. Responsibilities:
- Administer evidence-based group therapy interventions to a diverse patient population
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients
- Maintain a valid license in the state of Vermont
- Evaluate and assess patients’ mental health needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Provide comprehensive, compassionate care to help patients reach their therapeutic goals
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatment plans and progress
- Ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Participate in professional development activities and continuing education to stay up-to-date on the latest therapy techniques and advances in the field
