- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment within the University of Vermont Medical Center, including but not limited to lighting, power, and communication systems.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure the highest level of safety for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to identify any potential hazards or malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs in a timely manner to minimize disruption to hospital operations.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff members to coordinate electrical work and ensure minimal interruptions to patient care.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent, to maintain accountability and budget control.
- Stay up-to-date with current electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance and safety standards are met.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide swift and efficient solutions to any electrical problems that may arise.
- Assist in planning and executing new electrical system installations and upgrades as needed.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing the University of Vermont Medical Center and its mission to provide exceptional healthcare services.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience As An Electrician, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Hospital Setting.
Knowledge Of Electrical Systems And Codes, Including The Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints And Diagrams.
Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Resolve Electrical Issues.
Familiarity With And Adherence To Safety Protocols And Procedures, Including Proper Handling Of Hazardous Materials And Equipment.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Independently And Prioritize Tasks To Meet Deadlines.
