  1. Conduct thorough dental cleanings and exams for patients of all ages.
  2. Evaluate patients' oral health and provide individualized treatment plans.
  3. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative measures.
  4. Assist dentists during procedures and maintain a sterile environment.
  5. Take and develop dental x-rays as needed.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current dental practices and procedures.
  9. Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
  10. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Dental Hygiene From An Accredited Program: A Dental Hygienist Must Have Completed A Bachelor's Degree In Dental Hygiene From An Accredited Program To Be Eligible For A Per Diem Position At Uvm Medical Center.

  • Current State Licensure: Candidates Must Possess A Current And Active Dental Hygiene License In The State Of Vermont To Be Considered For This Position.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience: Uvm Medical Center Requires A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Dental Hygienist For Their Per Diem Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation Of Knowledge And Skills In The Field.

  • Cpr Certification: Due To The Nature Of The Job, Candidates Must Have A Current Cpr Certification To Be Considered For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Prepared To Handle Any Emergency Situations That May Arise During Patient Care.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Dental Hygienist Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Educate And Interact With Patients.
