- Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors at UVM Medical Center at CVPH.
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to identify and prevent potential security threats.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to security.
- Enforce hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws, to maintain order and safety.
- Conduct regular security checks and inspections to identify potential hazards or vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and operate security equipment, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patients, staff, and visitors with directions, information, and other needs.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Report any security incidents or concerns to the appropriate authorities and complete incident reports as needed.
- Stay updated on current security procedures and techniques through training and professional development.
- Remain vigilant and alert at all times to identify and respond to potential security risks.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient privacy guidelines.
- Serve as a role model for safety and security by following all protocols and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Security Or Law Enforcement Field.
Knowledge Of Security Protocols And Procedures, Including Emergency Response And Crisis Management.
Strong Communication And Conflict Resolution Skills.
Ability To Work Well Under Pressure And Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously.
Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls) And/Or First Aid/Cpr.
