- Provide critical care transport services to patients in need, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Utilize advanced emergency medical skills and knowledge to assess and treat patients during transport.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, medications, and treatments during transport.
- Maintain and operate medical equipment and supplies in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a smooth and efficient transport process.
- Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures, including safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge in critical care transport.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.
- Serve as an ambassador for UVM Medical Center, promoting the organization's mission and values in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
Current Paramedic Certification And Active Licensure In The State Of Vermont.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As A Paramedic, With At Least 1 Year In A Critical Care Or Flight Transport Setting.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals), And Basic Trauma Life Support (Btls) Certifications.
Experience And Proficiency In Advanced Airway Management Techniques, Including Intubation And Use Of Various Airway Adjuncts.
Knowledge And Experience With Critical Care Equipment And Procedures, Such As Mechanical Ventilation, Invasive Monitoring, And Medication Administration.
