- Provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers and newborns, including prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
- Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct patient education and counseling on topics such as pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.
- Monitor and assess fetal development and maternal health during pregnancy.
- Manage and assist with natural and assisted childbirth, including administering medications and performing medical procedures as needed.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Stay current with advancements in the field of midwifery and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the OB/GYN department.
- Demonstrate a commitment to compassionate and patient-centered care.

- Uphold the ethical and professional standards of the Certified Nurse Midwifery profession.
- Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and outcomes.
A Graduate Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Program, With A Focus On Midwifery And Women's Health.
Certification As A Nurse Midwife From The American Midwifery Certification Board.
Current Licensure As A Registered Nurse And Advanced Practice Nurse In The State Of Vermont.
At Least Two Years Of Experience Working As A Certified Nurse Midwife In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge In Prenatal, Antepartum, Intrapartum, And Postpartum Care, As Well As Gynecological Care For Women Of All Ages.
