  1. Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming calls, providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  2. Accurately and efficiently handle a high volume of calls, ensuring timely and appropriate routing to the appropriate department or individual.
  3. Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor while listening to and addressing patient concerns and inquiries.
  4. Utilize UVM Medical Center's systems and resources to provide accurate and up-to-date information to callers.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure a seamless experience for patients and their families.
  6. Document all call interactions and maintain accurate and detailed records for future reference.
  7. Identify potential issues or trends in patient inquiries and escalate to the appropriate department for resolution.
  8. Continuously strive to improve the patient experience by actively seeking feedback and implementing suggestions for improvement.
  9. Follow all protocols and procedures to maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
  10. Stay updated on UVM Medical Center's services, policies, and procedures to provide accurate and current information to callers.
  11. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay informed about any changes or updates to call center procedures.
  12. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the overall functioning of the call center.
