Job Description

Welcome to US Foods, a leading foodservice distributor and supplier to restaurants, healthcare and hospitality facilities, government operations and educational institutions. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FSQA (Food Safety and Quality Assurance) Technician for our Stock Yards Spokane location. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of our products, while upholding our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.   1. Conduct routine inspections and audits of food products, ingredients, and packaging materials to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.
  2. Monitor and maintain proper temperature control and sanitation procedures in all areas of the facility, including storage, production, and transportation.
  3. Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to identify and address any potential food safety hazards or quality issues.
  4. Assist in the development and implementation of food safety and quality assurance policies and procedures.
  5. Conduct internal trainings and workshops to educate employees on food safety practices and procedures.
  6. Investigate and document any customer complaints or quality concerns, and work with relevant departments to implement corrective actions.
  7. Conduct regular equipment and facility maintenance checks to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in food safety and quality control.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records of all food safety and quality assurance activities.
  10. Communicate and collaborate with external agencies, such as health departments and third-party auditors, to ensure compliance and maintain certifications.
  11. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall food safety and quality processes.
  12. Uphold the company's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction by ensuring all products meet or exceed quality expectations.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  14. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience In Quality Control: A Fsqa Technician Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Quality Control, Preferably In A Food Production Or Distribution Setting. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations And Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Fsqa Standards: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Fsqa Standards And Regulations, Such As Haccp, Usda, Fda, And Sqf. This Includes The Ability To Conduct Audits And Inspections To Ensure Compliance.

  • Attention To Detail: A Fsqa Technician Must Have Strong Attention To Detail To Identify Potential Food Safety Hazards And Implement Corrective Actions. This Includes Conducting Thorough Product Inspections And Documenting All Findings Accurately.

  • Communication Skills: Effective Communication Skills Are Essential For A Fsqa Technician, As They Will Be Responsible For Communicating Food Safety Protocols And Procedures To Other Team Members. They Should Also Be Able To Communicate Any Issues Or Concerns To Management In A Timely And Professional Manner.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Food Industry Can Be Fast-Paced And Demanding, And A Fsqa Technician Should Be Able To Thrive In This Type Of Environment. This Includes Being Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively, As Well As Working Efficiently Under Pressure.
