Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Fleet Mechanic Apprentice to join the team at US Foods! As a Fleet Mechanic Apprentice, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of vehicles to ensure our customers receive their orders on time and in perfect condition. You’ll be expected to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure that all vehicles are in safe and roadworthy condition.The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 1-2 years of experience working on commercial and/or fleet vehicles. You should also have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. The ability to work with a team, as well as independently, is also essential.If you’re passionate about repairing and maintaining vehicles and are looking for an opportunity to further your career with a great company, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose/troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on fleet vehicles.
  2. Ensure all vehicles are in safe and roadworthy condition.
  3. Maintain accurate records and logs of vehicle maintenance.
  4. Follow all safety protocols when working on vehicles.
  5. Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.
  6. Maintain tools and equipment in a clean and organized manner.
  7. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
